Wisconsin Sharon's Ride 2018: 5 Mile Rider - Youth (7 - 17 y

Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk 2020 is

GOING VIRTUAL

Our mission of the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego is to help people affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, and research. With this in mind and due to increasing concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as mandates from our local public health departments, we have pivoted to make the

2020 SHARON'S RIDE.RUN.WALK A VIRTUAL EVENT

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

We have switched all registered participants to virtual participants and will mail everyone an official Sharon’s Ride t-shirt. Participants can expect to receive this in early April.

As a virtual participant, you can choose an activity on April 19th to honor loved ones and those affected by epilepsy.  Some examples of what you can do as an individual or a small group are:

Walk in your neighborhood or local park

Take a bike ride

Go for a hike

Play your favorite games

Dance in your living room

We encourage you to have some fun and fitness as we all sort through this unprecedented issue.

We are also planning on having a virtual rally online on April 19th so everyone can still connect, share stories and be united that day.  As you participate virtually on your own (or as a small group), please share your stories and photos with the foundation on Social Media using #SharonsRide and tagging @epilepsyfoundationsd.

Although our event will not physically take place this year, epilepsy continues to affect individuals and families every day, so thank you to those who have supported this event thus far and continue to strive for more.

COVID-19 Response:

We have been carefully monitoring current, reliable information from government agencies, health organizations and medical professionals as it relates to the COVID-19 situation in the San Diego region.

We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure your safety, as well as the safety of others. We will continue to update our participants via email and social media if anything changes. You can also find updates on this page as we approach the event day. Thank you so much for your support of our cause and community.
