FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Is there a fee to participate and what is the deadline to register?

A. Yes. Registration is $35 for adults, $15 for children and children under 5 are free. 

Q. Can I sign up my whole family?

A. Yes. But we will require each member of your family to have their own unique email address.

Q. What is the schedule for the day?

A. Registration - 7:30 a.m - 9:00 a.m.

     13 Mile Bike Race - 8:30 a.m.

     1 Mile Walk - 9:30 a.m.

     Celebration - 10:30 a.m.

Q. How far is the ride vs walk?

A. The walk is 1 mile and the ride is 13 miles.

Q. Is there a minimum amount I need to raise?

A. No, but we encourage you to raise funds for Epilepsy Foundation Texas to fund our mission and there are great incentive prizes available to you for doing so!

Q. Can someone join my team as a fundraiser, but not attend the walk?

A.  Yes. Anyone can register for your team and fundraise even if they are not physically present. Some teams have family members fundraise in other countries!

Q. Where can I pick up my incentive prize?

A. Approximately 6 weeks following the stroll, qualifying participants will receive an email with their certificate and instructions on redeeming their prize.  Please note:  Teams do not qualify for incentive prizes, only individual team members.

Q. Can I pick up brochures and posters to promote the event and help build my team?

A. Yes. Please call and schedule a day and time to pick up from our office 214-420-2737.

Q. Where do I sign up to volunteer for Sharon’s Ride?

A. Please email info@eftx.org.

Q. Where do I drop off the money I raised?

A. You can mail the funds or call to schedule a drop off at 214-420-2737.  Please mail funds to:

Q. Where does my team meet on the day of the event?

A. The event is in Gateway Park in Fort Worth.  

Q. Where do we park on the day of the event?

A. There is parking at Gateway Park and in the surrounding area.

Q. What should I bring with me on the day of the event?

A. Please bring additional donations collected, snacks, water, sunscreen and warm clothing in case of weather. Custom t-shirts, hats, banners, or any other team flair you want to bring is a great idea. Some teams bring chairs for their team members to use to relax as we do not provide them.
