Welcome to Sophia's Personal Page!
Thank you for visiting my page! With your help we can greatly impact the lives of the 50,000 people who have epilepsy in San Diego County.
I have been diagnosed with Epilepsy for about eight years. I’ve tried many different medications to control my seizures, done many types of testing including staying at Rady Children’s Hospital and have had many struggles and complications that come along with having Epilepsy. Some of these complications are as big as struggling to get through the school day, and some are simply needing extra time to complete projects or assignments or dealing with side effects of meds.
Over the years, I have become very empathetic. I am especially empathetic to those who are struggling with the same or similar situations. Although Epilepsy isn't uncommon, many who don't have any relation to it in their own lives aren't fully aware of what having Epilepsy entails. Therefor, I have recently created an awareness page via social media. The largest thing that can possibly help anyone with Epilepsy is support. Support is extremely effective and means a lot. One way you can help support people with Epilepsy or seizures is donating to the Epilepsy foundation and/or taking part in Sharon’s ride.
