Wisconsin Sharon's Ride 2018: 5 Mile Rider - Youth (7 - 17 y

Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk 2020 is

GOING VIRTUAL

Our mission of the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego is to help people affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, and research. With this in mind and due to increasing concerns regarding the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as mandates from our local public health departments, we have pivoted to make the

2020 SHARON'S RIDE.RUN.WALK A VIRTUAL EVENT

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

We have switched all registered participants to virtual participants and will mail everyone an official Sharon’s Ride t-shirt. Participants can expect to receive this in early April.

As a virtual participant, you can choose an activity on April 19th to honor loved ones and those affected by epilepsy.  Some examples of what you can do as an individual or a small group are:

Walk in your neighborhood

Take a bike ride

Play a sport in your backyard

Do a puzzle or favorite board game

Dance in your living room

We encourage you to have some fun and fitness as we all sort through this unprecedented issue.

We are also planning on having a virtual rally online on April 19th at 10am so everyone can still connect, share stories and be united that day.  There will be a fun program complete with celebrity appearances, team awards, musical performances and more. Let's make this weekend the biggest VIRTUAL meet up our community has ever seen.

We will have a very special guest performance from

PETER YARROW

of Peter, Paul and Mary to sing a few songs so please tune in!

As you participate virtually on your own (or as a small group), please share your stories and photos with the foundation on Social Media using #SharonsRide and tagging @epilepsyfoundationsd.

Although our event will not physically take place this year, epilepsy continues to affect individuals and families every day, so thank you to those who have supported this event thus far and continue to strive for more.
